MINUTES of the 2009 ANNUAL MEETING


Maine Congregationalists:

You are hereby called to the 2009 Annual Meeting of the Congregational Christian Council of Maine to be held on Friday, April 24, and Saturday, April 25, at the First Congregational Church, North Anson, Maine. Business to be conducted will include receiving reports of the officers, electing new officers for 2009-2010, and approving a budget for said fiscal year. Each member church is entitled to three voting delegates, which may be clergy or laity. All others are encouraged to attend and will have voice but no vote.

 Friday pm. …5:00-6:00pm …registration and refreshments
                        6-6:15 pm.  Words of Welcome, Opening Prayer & Hymn
                        6:15-7:15pm.  .. A Leap of Faith -   a  panel discussion on  small churches with big dreams.

7:30 pm. …. Ecclesiastical Council on the ordination of Mr. David Fox [READ HIS ORDINATION PAPER]

                      9-10am. ….Business Meeting- local and regional reports, nomination & election of officers
                        10-10:15am … Break
                          10:15- 11:30.…Rev. Charles Segay- Missionary of Mission School of Hope, Cameroon, Africa
                           11:30 -Noon…….. meet with Charles
                           Luncheon at Noon
                            1pm  .... Communion Service



Friday-  sandwiches, cold cuts, cheese, chip&dip veggies, cookies and fruit.

Saturday Breakfast- yogurt, juice, coffee, toast, coffeecake,donuts, muffins,
                                  cinnamon rolls, fruit.

Lunch-    Sliced Turkey, rolls,mashed potatoes, gravy, tossed salad,  peas,
                 cranberry sauce, punch,  coffee,  tea, pies, real whipped cream.
